Elk hunting in Säfsen

Säfsen's hunting grounds on the border between Dalarna and Värmland are among the richest in elk in Sweden. The grounds are huge covering a total of 17,000 ha of connected land.

Elk hunting is spread over three weeks with the first hunting week starting on the second Monday in October. From experience, we know that all three weeks are similar in terms of the chances of seeing and shooting elk.

The hunt is carried out as a drive hunt with loose dogs and a marksman. We take 5-16 hunters per group. The beats are allocated by drawing lots before each drive. Depending on the size of the battue, we hunt two-three drives per day. We have a total price per hunting week that includes everything: hunting, accommodation, full board and travel between the holiday village and the hunting grounds.
